Côté Danse
Côté Danse skyrocketed onto the Canadian dance scene in 2021, thanks to the collaboration between choreographer Guillaume Côté and producers Etienne Lavigne and Anisa Tejpar. Since then, they have been actively presenting a range of original works and immersive dance experiences. Under the artistic direction of Guillaume Côté, Côté Danse establishes a unique vision, combining the knowledge of classical dance with captivating geometries and intense human connections. Their style is characterized by contemporary lines, clean contours and refined athleticism, creating a distinct and dynamic aesthetic. Through collaborations with a diverse group of creators, artists and partners such as Robert Lepage, Mirari Studios and Son Lux, Côté Danse has successfully produced four productions. The company attracted considerable attention from the outset, with 140 performances in 23 cities in its first four years.

Guillaume Côté
Guillaume Côté was born in Lac-Saint-Jean, Quebec. After completing his studies, he joined the National Ballet of Canada in 1999, where he was promoted to principal dancer in 2004. Since then, he has performed most of the company's major roles, and has been its most recognized male dancer. Several roles have been created especially for him, and he has worked personally with many dance icons, including Roland Petit, John Neumeier, William Forsythe, Christopher Wheeldon and Crystal Pite. As a guest artist, he has danced for leading international theaters including the Bolshoi Theatre, the Royal Ballet, the American Ballet Theatre, New York City Ballet, Teatro alla Scala, the Mikhailovsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires and the Staatsoper in Berlin.
In 2013, Guillaume Côté was named associate choreographer of The National Ballet of Canada, and eight of his works are now part of the company's repertoire. The most recent of these is the full-length piece Frame By Frame, created in collaboration with director Robert Lepage. Mr. Côté has received the National Assembly medal for his contribution to the arts, and has been named Chevalier de l'Ordre national du Québec. He has been artistic director of the Festival des Arts de Saint-Sauveur since 2014. In January 2021, Guillaume Côté founded his own company, Côté Danse, focusing on the multidisciplinary creation of innovative works.
