Founded by Lydie Revez and Mickaël Spinnhirny, CAPAS is the first dance label in Canada. Proud of its French-speaking roots and its independence in North America, CAPAS operates at the heart of the choreographic ecosystem by combining representation, production, distribution, programming, and professional services. CAPAS embodies a broad vision of dance. It supports artists whose signature is part of a strong approach, supporting them in the conception, structuring, marketing, and distribution of their works. It designs creative projects and programs performances that bring the discipline to life in all its diversity. A transversal structure, CAPAS also offers concrete solutions to institutions, companies, and other organizations in the sector, meeting their administrative, strategic, and communication needs. By combining artistic action, active engagement, and a systemic vision, CAPAS embodies a new way of doing things: flexible, ambitious, and bold, at the service of dance in all its forms.

Inspired by music labels, CAPAS • Dance Label offers a renewed vision of performing arts support. Like a label that produces, distributes, manages, advises, promotes and cares for artists throughout their careers, CAPAS adopts a global, agile, and multifaceted approach. The label doesn't just represent artists: it propels them, structures them, and connects them to their audiences, markets, and communities. CAPAS acts as a production company, touring office, strategic studio, and image workshop, allowing each project to develop in its uniqueness, with ambition and consistency. But CAPAS doesn't just support artists: it supports the entire chain of creation, distribution, and mediation. By offering tailor-made services to companies, festivals, programmers, cultural organizations, and community partners, CAPAS acts as a structuring link in the choreographic ecosystem.

history
CAPAS was co-founded in 2018 by Mickaël Spinnhirny, an artist agent, and Lydie Revez, a cultural administrator, who together have over 35 years of experience in the sector. Initially created under the name Agence Mickaël Spinnhirny, the organization has become a truly multidimensional label, reinventing the role of a cultural actor in the field of contemporary dance. Over the years, CAPAS has adapted its services to the realities of the sector: initially focused on representation, administration, and distribution logistics, it has broadened its scope to support digital transitions, offer strategic services to companies and institutions, and produce shows aimed at large audiences. In seven years, CAPAS has supported over 1,500 performances worldwide, collaborated with some fifty companies, and contributed to the recognition of dance as a driver of meaning, connection, and emotion.
