Raw energy, stage geometry and electronic pulses. The Morin/Leroux duo presents an intense physical offering where five performers seek the tipping point between exaltation and transcendence, between the intoxication of the group and the liberating exhaustion.

The eighth collaboration between Alexandre Morin and Mathieu Leroux, Euphoric Thresholds is the first production under the Morin/Leroux · Arts vivants banner. The duo develops a language where movement and dramaturgy are closely intertwined, rooted in contemporary dance but open to other disciplines, affirming a marked taste for experimentation.
Five bodies explore different states—tension, weariness, intoxication—in a constantly shifting space. Against an electronic backdrop, the performers traverse athletic poses, references to popular culture, and a deliberate formal abstraction. Endurance fuels intensity, transforming energy into a shared experience between the bodies and the audience. What we see is the group seeking ecstasy: a movement toward something never fully attained, and therein lies the power of the work.
Balancing formal rigor and accessibility, Euphoric Thresholds appeals to both seasoned performers and newcomers alike. World premiere at Agora de la danse and Danse Danse (Montreal) in February 2027.
