LE MAGNIFICAT DE J.S.BACH - Compagnie Marie Chouinard

With MAGNIFICAT , danced by the 12 performers of her company, she explores Bach's sacred work, sung in Latin by a choir, five vocal soloists, and an orchestra. Imbued with the divine, this piece gives voice to the Virgin Mary, whose words exult in power and joy. A new vessel, it addresses us with a vision of the world liberated from its constraints, in sublime plenitude. Marie Chouinard choreographs the arias of MAGNIFICAT as noble entities, interconnected in a shared space-time, alternating between large group movements, trios, duets, and solos, for a total of 35 minutes of pure grace. The lighting and costumes, also created by the choreographer, reinforce this sacred atmosphere.
