Millepertuis is a journey, a blossoming. Between exuberance and surrender, this tailor-made solo showcases the personality, charisma, and boundless energy of virtuoso street dancer Walid Hammani. Choreographer Sovann Rochon-Prom Tep has created a work for his friend and collaborator where impetuosity and euphoria gently give way to calm and gentleness, revealing in the process the depths of our being and the contradictions that dwell within us.

Master of popping and electro, Walid, aka Waldo, experiences moving states of trance. Flamboyant costumes, lighting effects, musical atmospheres, and displays of virtuosity are all strategies to conceal his vulnerabilities, which are slowly laid bare. He reveals himself, allowing himself to be seen and viewed differently. Like the St. John's wort flower, a vibrant yellow, which carries within it a surprising red ink.
