Maude Sabourin

A dancer and ballet mistress with an exceptional career, Maude Sabourin never ceases to

to push the boundaries of her art. Trained at the École Supérieure de Ballet du Québec

until she joined the prestigious Ballets de Monte-Carlo, she quickly became a leading lady.

She is a dancer and performs on the world's biggest stages. She has the opportunity to

working with legendary choreographers such as Jean-Christophe Maillot, Jiří Kylián, Marco Goecke, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui and William Forsythe.


In 2018, after an international career, she joined Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal as a principal dancer and continued to develop her practice by mentoring young artists. Maude also became the artistic director of The Dance Lab, an organization that allows her to host workshops and masterclasses, the proceeds of which are donated to humanitarian causes. She also created the online platform The Ballet Cure, enabling everyone to explore ballet at home. In 2024, Maude appeared in the exhibition Portraits and Fashion – Photographers from Quebec Beyond Borders at the McCord Museum, the result of an exceptional collaboration with photographer Carl Lessard. This artistic encounter celebrates the alliance between dance and fashion.


A ballet mistress, performer and speaker of great humanity, Maude Sabourin's journey is a true ode to dance and art, which she uses as much as possible for its power to bring citizens together.
