In this production, Jo Strømgren, Norwegian playwright and choreographer—a master of contrasts and tender heartache—imagines a group haunted by the shadow of the end of life. Under the gaze of a sensitive ghost, gestures become suspended memories: moments that speak of love, friendship, loss, and those silences that say it all. Celebration embraces melancholy, nostalgia flirts with the urgency of living, and goodbyes resound with renewal.

The scenes unfold to a wide variety of music—from Aznavour to La Bottine Souriante, from Gustavo Santaolalla to Mette Henriette—like so many intimate, fiery, dizzying heartbeats. Far from being a show about death, La revue finale is a cathartic tribute to what survives oblivion: the beauty of movement, the warmth of presence, and uncompromising, ultimate joy.
