Daphnée Laurendeau
Touring Manager
Daphnée Laurendeau is a dancer trained in both classical and contemporary styles. For ten years, she was a member of the Cas Public dance company, where she performed in several of Hélène Blackburn’s productions on stages across Quebec and internationally. From that decade on stage, she has gained a deep understanding of the realities of the arts and the practical demands of touring. Since 2020, she has supported the artists at Maison Verso as a program coordinator, producer, and outreach specialist. Her work contributes to the development and promotion of the works in Canada and abroad.
Daphnée Laurendeau is a graduate of the École supérieure de ballet du Québec. In 2009, after three years with the Jeune Ballet du Québec—where she had the opportunity to work with renowned choreographers and experience her first international tours—she was awarded the CALQ Emerging Artist Grant to join BJM – Les Ballets Jazz de Montréal as an apprentice. From 2010 to 2020, she danced with Cas Public while simultaneously serving as Tour Manager and Cultural Mediator. She also contributed to the company’s development as a board member. She joined CAPAS in the summer of 2020.
